About The Opportunity
DBM Law has an opportunity for an Administrative Assistant with 1-3 years of experience to join our real estate/conveyancing team in Coquitlam, British Columbia. The position is an in-office, full-time role.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Open all files in the conveyancing department
- Responsible for maintaining the file tracking calendar
- Order required information on all files such as title searches, property taxes, mortgage payouts and strata documentation
- Communicate respectfully and cooperatively with clients, other legal counsel, financial institutions and/or realtors as required
- Book appointments for lawyers and clients for document review and execution
- Perform all other general administrative duties, including ensuring all outgoing mail is sent, ordering the couriers for the conveyancing department, attending to the certification of cheques
- Candidate must have driver’s license and a car to facilitate department banking (mileage & insurance reimbursed)
- Reception coverage as required.
More About You
To qualify, you will have administrative work experience. Training will be provided in our systems and procedures.
The following skills and experiences are also required:
- 1-3 years previous experience working in a Conveyancing Department in a law firm, notary office, or realty office
- Previous experience using conveyancing software, Amicus Attorney, PC Law considered an asset (training available on all software)
- Must have full knowledge Microsoft Word and Adobe, and some experience with Excel
- The ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- The ability to work in a fast paced work environment with the ability to multi-task
- A strong attention to detail; ability to produce accurate work product is essential
- The ability to stay organized and prioritize tasks.
